(1973, Canada) born in an English-speaking family in rural Quebec, Marie-Josée holds degrees in Russian and in law from McGill University (Montreal). After moving to Budapest in 2002, she learned Hungarian and began working as a legal translator. She now edits and translates for a wide range of clients, and teaches translation at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. In 2019 and 2021, she took part in the PRAE workshop for translators of Hungarian literature.
