Cărtărescu

Mircea Cărtărescu (1956, Romania) is a writer and publicist, Professor Emeritus at the University of Bucharest. He has published over 30 volumes so far, translated in 25 languages – among them novels like Blinding, Solenoid and The Levant, short stories, essays and books of poetry. He was awarded with several international prizes for literature such as The Thomas Mann Prize, The State Prize of Austria, The Formentor Prize, The Gregor von Rezzori Prize, The Vilenica Prize or The Spycher-Leuk Prize.
