Born in Bangalore, India, Shubha Sunder completed a degree in physics at Bryn Mawr College before pursuing an MFA in creative writing at Boston University. She has been the recipient of a number of awards and distinctions for her fiction. Her stories and essays have appeared in an array of literary journals. She was also a 2020 recipient of the City of Boston Artist Fellowship Award and a 2016 recipient of the Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship.
