Sylwia Chutnik (1979, Poland) is a Polish novelist, publicist, social activist, and promoter of reading. Chutnik graduated from Cultural Studies and Gender Studies at the Warsaw University. Her debut, Women’s Pocket Atlas (2008), was awarded the prestigious Polityka Passport Award. Chutnik’s writing is deeply rooted in feminist theories and cultural gender concepts. Chutnik has been nominated for the Nike Literary Award three times so far.
