Horváth

Viktor Horváth (1962, Hungary) is a Hungarian writer and translator. After having completed his university studies, he worked for a time as a journalist and high school teacher. In 2001, he began teaching poetry and literary translation at the University of Pécs. He began publishing works of poetry and prose fiction in 1994, and he has won an array of awards, including the European Union Prize for Literature in 2012 for his novel Török tükör (“Turkish Mirror”).
