Joanna Figiel (1985, Poland) is a freelance translator, editor, proofreader, and a cultural studies scholar with a PhD from the School of Arts and Sociology, City University of London (2020). Bilingual, she translates texts both from Polish into English and English into Polish, regularly working on translations of artistic and academic texts, fiction, and screenplays. She is the author of the Polish translation of Emily Pine’s Notes to Self, a member of the Polish Literary Translators Association.
