Brogyányi

Eugene Brogyányi was born in post-war Austria to stateless Hungarian parents from Czechoslovakia. He was two years old when his family emigrated to the United States. He is a graduate of New York University, and his literary career began as a translator of contemporary Hungarian plays for the OBIE-award winning Threshold Theater Company in New York City. His translations of János Háy's stories and essays have appeared in The Hungarian Quarterly, Epiphany, AGNI, and Visegrád Insight.
