Kemény

Kemény (1961, Hungary) is a Hungarian writer and poet, living and working in Budapest. First gaining recognition in the eighties, he is now one of Hungary’s most prominent poets. He has published a dozen collections of poetry and two novels in his native Hungarian, and has had poetry collections translated into German, Bulgarian, and Spanish. Many of his poems have been included in English-language poetry anthologies. His most recent collection of poetry entitled Nílus (‘Nile’) was published by Magvető in 2018.
