János
Marno

(1949, Hungary) is a poet. At the age of one, his family was relocated to a remote village and became declassed. Unable to return to Budapest, he grew up in the countryside, completing high school in Pannonhalma and at the Franciscans in Esztergom. He began publishing ten years later when one could speak somewhat more freely. A recipient of multiple literary prizes, he has authored over a dozen poetry volumes, most recently Szereposzlás (Magvető Publishing, 2018).
